The Institute of Medicine’s Future of Nursing Report is a vital document and should be read by all nurses. Since the publication of this report all states have developed Action Coalitions to address the initiatives contained in this report. I am currently serving as one of the nurse co-leads for the Northern Metropolitan Action Coalition in New York and we are always looking for volunteers to join us.
